by any chance 是什么意思？怎么用
"by any chance" 常放在问句里，把问题或请求说得更客气、更轻一点，意思接近“会不会刚好……”“不知道你这边有没有可能……”。它常常不是在认真计算“概率”，而是在给对方留空间，不想显得太直接。
什么时候说
- 问信息时，表示“说不定你刚好知道/有”。例："Do you have one in Mandarin, by any chance?"
- 提小请求时，语气更委婉。例："Could you tell me the Wi-Fi password, by any chance?"
- 买东西或点餐时，临时加一个要求，很常用。例："Could I get these tacos with no cilantro, by any chance?"
- 也常用 "any chance..." 开头来问“有没有可能”。例："Any chance you could send it today?" / "Is there any chance you could fit my cat in today?"
语气： 中性偏礼貌，日常口语很自然；它会让请求没那么硬，但语气还是要友好，不然也可能显得你在试探着加要求。
注意： 别把它按字面硬翻成“通过任何机会”或“任何机会”，也别以为它完全不能出现在陈述里。问题不在“陈述句”本身，而在位置和意思："I by any chance need a charger" 不自然。想提出请求，可说 "Could I borrow a charger, by any chance?"；想表达不确定，可说 "I might need a charger."
